A Few Hours in Paris

Leaving the airport was a little unnerving. It took far longer than expected to reach the exit, and we didn’t have much time before our next flight. Every decision mattered. First things first: order an Uber. Three-minute wait. Of course, he was already there.

Straight to the Eiffel Tower.

The weather was pleasant. The traffic, not so much. But our driver was incredible. Once he realized we were only planning a quick stop, he offered to stay nearby and make sure we made it back to the airport on time. A small kindness that changed everything.

We spent a few minutes there. Standing at sunrise with the Eiffel Tower behind us. I’ve always wanted that picture. Being there, even briefly, felt unreal.

This view was worth the wait.

Next stop: coffee and croissants.

Café du Trocadéro. Crowded, lively, and absolutely worth it. Good service. Good food. A pause that felt earned. Our driver shared in the moment, his enthusiasm adding an unexpected warmth to the stop.

This Paris visit, short as it was, felt like a dream come true.

Paris didn’t disappoint. 🇫🇷

And it’s absolutely worth another visit.

Adieu, Paris…until we meet again. ✌🏽

Paris behind us. Dubai ahead.

It was our last day in Dubai, and we started with a plan. We were supposed to take in the view from the best place to see The Palm: The View at The Palm. Tickets in hand, until they were canceled at the last minute. A disappointment, for sure. But it was also a reminder…
