Desert Safari 🐪

The day we’d been waiting for.

Out into the desert, where everything stretches and quiet feels bigger. We started our adventure on a side by side vehicle, riding through the sand, the landscape opening up with every mile. Then dune bashing in a 4×4…up, down, sideways…sand flying and lots of laughter.

Sandboarding followed. More fun than graceful, and exactly the point.

As the sun lowered, the desert softened. Golden light. Long shadows. Sunset photos that didn’t need posing to feel right.

Then slower moments: a short camel ride, steady and deliberate. Photos with a falcon: focused, calm, powerful up close. Henna for the ladies, hands resting still while patterns took shape.

The evening ended with a traditional barbecue dinner and a show that felt rooted and celebratory. The falcon returning to center stage, then music, dancers, and an amazing fire performance. Ancient and alive in the same breath.

It was an incredible adventure.

Full, layered, unforgettable.

The desert gave us everything it promised—and then some.

We drove to Ruby Falls for the day. A simple trip. No overnight bags. A cool—though not cold—morning that made the drive feel easy. Light…

  • Little Havana, One Bite at a Time

Little Havana doesn’t rush you, even when everything around you is moving. The walk unfolds in pieces—short blocks, open doors, conversations drifting out into the street. Music overlaps with traffic. Heat settles in early and stays. This wasn’t about finding the best anything. It was about following the pace the neighborhood set and letting each…
